LAFORGE eXperimental Devices "XD", is a special department within the company I created last year as a place for the company to create custom concepts for LAFORGE Optical, its partners, and potential customers. Some of the stuff we will be doing in the XD group is secret, but my goal is to eventually tell the stoy of each of the project we are working on, once our partners are comfortable with it. To be clear, LAFORGE Optical is not an "Augmented Reality Company", it is instead an "Embedded Optics Company" specializing in designing, manufacturing, accelerating the adoption of embedded optical systems. This means that Shima, our digital eyewear platform represents the starting point for what I have planned for this company.
In the future we will be making concepts and commericalizing products beyond the realm of Augmented Reality.
